In 2011 I told myself that I would never date a football player and shockingly I wasn’t alone. One night while on twitter, Meg decided to retweet a tweet from BGSU welcoming the class of 2017. Gehrig was feeling confident that same night and messaged Meg thinking she was a freshmen, BUT SURPRISE, she was actually a junior. His message wasn’t that smooth and Meg’s “no football player” attitude stayed strong.
However, as you can see things changed for the better. In June 2013 they started texting and in August they met for the first time. Do you believe in love at first sight? Well, they sure do! When Meg went to go pick up Gehrig she had no idea what was in store. Upon opening the door, everything went slo-mo and the two became inseparable from that moment on.
Since then I’ve been blessed with getting to know them and capture their relationship over the years. It was perfect. Gehrig would make the touchdowns, Tyler would kick the extra points, and Meg and I would obsess over the pictures taken and eventually obsess over our fur children.
I am so excited for these two to graduate and do big things in Bama!
Enjoy some of my favorites from our final time together on the campus we have called “home” for the past 5 years.
