I’ve been very fortunate over the years to be blessed with amazing couples. One particular couple I have known for what seems like forever, and we have bonded through the years over Starbucks, wedding talk, being Falcon Flames, and most importantly, Jesus.
Kayleigh and Adam came to me believing in my vision and the future of my passion. Because of this and the foundation we had, I knew that I wanted their planning process to be effortless and fun. We communicated about everything and together formed the perfect timeline that created the most perfect day. This past Saturday was that perfect day and also the start to my 2016 wedding season… a season I have been waiting for since the end of 2014… IT WAS ALSO THE FIRST TIME I GOT TO WORK WITH MY WHOLE CREW. Brian Long with the epic video and Haley Givens slaying as second shooter.
Their ceremony took place at Prout Chapel. It’s a little Chapel located on BGSU’s campus and is also a chapel that we all have prayed in many times. Every little detail had a special meaning behind it. Borrowed was a necklace from her Aunt Michelle, blue was a graduation ring from her biological father, new were some elegant pearl earrings, and old were her grandpa’s handkerchiefs wrapped around her bouquet and a black leather biker’s jacket that also belonged to her biological father. During the ceremony, two of their close friends and mentors came up and prayed over them, the unity salt was something I’ve never seen, and their first kiss as husband and wife filled everyone’s hearts with joy.
After formal shots, celebrations, and the MOST BREATHTAKING PERSONAL TIME, we took the excitement to Maumee Elks Lodge. The decorations were kept simple but also had great meaning too. The guest book basketball was the same one from the engagement session, the DIY coaster gifts displayed different photos from that same session, and their love story was displayed in a cute glass cube. I just feel like things like this make weddings so much more magical! There’s just so much more and I could talk about this day forever but I know you’re just here to see the goodies ;)
So long story short, I love these two and I cannot express how excited I am for them to start this amazing journey. They were a dream and I can’t wait to see where God takes them next!! CONGRATS TO THE EVANS AND MAY YOU LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!
OHHHH AND WE CANNOT FORGET THE SPARKLER SEND OFF. MAGICAL, PEOPLE… MAGICAL.
