Oh how I wish you could have been here. It was an amazing day and I had been waiting so long for it. On July 2nd, Kelly and Brent said “I do” at St. Lutheran Church in Bowling Green, Ohio. It was an early morning and the first wedding I’ve ever had to really travel to. The car ride went quickly and all I could think about was the day ahead.
I got to Graystone Hall first thing in the morning to capture all the details and hard work that were put into the reception. The simple bells for those crowd demanding kisses, the elegantly lit tree centerpieces, and the fun yard lights that hung above the dance floor came together to create a fun and inviting atmosphere.
Next stop was to capture the bride and groom getting ready. It made my day getting to finally see Kelly walk in with her bridal party and smile stretched across her face. The guys were the same way. Upon entering the apartment, the guys all cheered and applauded as it was time to get on the tux. All this led up to the most perfect first look between the future Mr. and Mrs.
This first look you guys… woah. Even though you don’t pose this or anything, they still slayed it. I mean, I had the chills, tears, and more. PS: Shout out to Kody for carrying all that dress across the parking lot. Brent’s mouth DROPPED when he turned to see Kelly and the way he took her hand to check her out made it even better. I could have lived in that moment forever and been perfectly content with life.
After photos and fun, it was time to get these two married. The ceremony started with some special music provided by some important people. Kelly and Brent are trombone players and are dang good at what they do. You could tell they are passionate about it since they had a cute little trombones on top of their floral cascading cake.
Anyways, the ceremony started and ended with so much excitement and love that it immersed you. It was sweet and included those who meant most to them. The reception was the same, as they spent hours on the dance floor with all their family and friends. Not to mention during the anniversary dance, the bride’s grandparent’s owned it with their 67 years of marriage… GOALS, PEOPLE, GOALS.
YIKES. Just noticed this is long. Oh well, I can’t help it. I am just so excited for Kelly and Brent and it feels so good knowing they are surrounded by so many amazing couples, examples, and the love of Jesus. Their wedding day wasn’t just another brick in the wall, it was so much more. So here’s to the new Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter!! YAY!
