Kara and Brad... YAS. Talk about one of my couples who I love dearly and know I will be forever friends with. Kara was brought to me by her sister Heather who was one of my college friends and football colleague. We all loved the same stuff. Football Saturday's, Family, IPA, and celebrations. When I first met Kara it was at a little coffee shop and right off the bat I was pumped.
At her engagement session I got to finally meet Brad and their fur child Bo... WHO IS PERFECT... Bo... Brad is okay. LOL. But it was so good and made the friendship even stronger. Leading up to their wedding day, emails were exchanged on the daily because at this point, we were just doing life together. So on their wedding day, it was like watching a friend get married which then brings tears when you see that friend in her stunning Essence of Australia gown.
Brad showed up EXTRA dapper and ready to slay. He was organized and not a minute late. And on the topic of late... one of the things Kara did was let me make the timeline and lead the day. By doing this, we got done a little early and was able to use to buffer time to each lunch before the ceremony. L U N C H. The boys went to a restaurant and us gals had Subway delivered. THIS NEVER HAPPENS, PEOPLE. Usually the bride will eat at like 8am before getting ready and then will eat again at the reception. But nope, we all felt good the entire day, was relaxed, and had the time of our lives.
The ceremony was in a gorgeous church that let in such beautiful light and afterwards headed to the Legion to dance, dance, dance. The moments captured at the reception are some that even I will cherish forever. This is where I officially became an unofficial "DeVelvis". Pam... mom... and grandma... they showed a grand time by getting jiggy with it and you all know I can't resist and good song.
I absolutely loved this day. It was so beautiful and the wine colored gowns with fluffy florals paired perfectly together. HERE'S TO THE MARRIED LIFE MR. AND MRS. BRUSKOTTER!!
